Hashman Heritage Homestead is a community-rooted nonprofit founded by partners in life, love, and sweat equity. Nestled on the Front Range of Colorado, the homestead is a living experiment in healing land through regenerative grazing, healing animals through accessible, compassionate care, and healing food systems by preserving heritage livestock breeds and rejecting industrial agriculture in favor of small-scale, ethical alternatives.

Vanessa, a first-generation farmer and member of the Andean diaspora, brings her background in non-profit development, animal health, natural horsemanship, and hoof care to the heart of the homestead’s mission.

Joe, born and raised in Colorado, is the muscle and spirit behind the infrastructure that makes it all possible, from horticulture to livestock containment and management. As we strive toward never-ending self-improvement, Joe makes the concept a reality.

Together, we are young farmers committed to preserving the health and interconnectedness of land, animals, and people. Hashman Heritage Homestead is our offering to the community: a space where access to care, education, and land stewardship come together for a healthier, more just future.
